1. When and how to contact the mediator?
After contacting Château de l’Épinay’s customer service and in the absence of a satisfactory response within

In the event of a dispute between the professional and the consumer, they will endeavor to find an amicable solution.
Failing an amicable agreement, the consumer also has the option to use the European online dispute resolution platform: https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr
The professional is obliged to provide the consumer with the contact details of the mediation body to which they are affiliated.
2. Telephone Solicitation
According to Article L.223-2 of the Consumer Code:
“When a professional collects telephone data from a consumer,
they must inform the consumer of their right to register on the telephone solicitation opt-out list.”

3. Right of Withdrawal
In accordance with Article L. 221-28 of the Consumer Code, the right of withdrawal cannot be exercised for contracts:
“(…) 12° For accommodation services, other than residential accommodation, goods transport services, car rentals, catering, or leisure activities that must be provided on a specific date or during a specific period; […]”
Hotel, catering, and leisure services offered by Château de l’Épinay and reserved for a specific date or period therefore do not benefit from the right of withdrawal.
4. Dispute Resolution
In the event of a dispute, the consumer is invited to first seek an amicable solution with the establishment.
Failing an amicable agreement:
- the consumer may contact the Tourism and Travel Mediator under the conditions described above;
- they may also submit their complaint on the European online dispute resolution platform: https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
